Don't Stop Praying for Them

A mother comes to Jesus in the Gospel of Matthew. She does not ask for herself. She asks for her daughter, who suffers under a demon's power. She kneels before Christ and begs him to heal the one she loves.

Many parents and grandparents know this prayer. You pray for a son or daughter who no longer comes to Mass. You pray for a grandchild who seems to have walked away from the faith. Leaving the Boat

The Fathers Who Show Us God

06-21-2026ReflectionsJoseph Langenbach

The Gospel never records a single word spoken by St. Joseph. He received an angel's message in a dream, rose before dawn, and acted. He protected. He provided. He stayed. His silence was not weakness. It was the fullness of a man who understood that love is not declared. It is done.

That is the call of every father.
